An interesting anecdote is Noorspoort. Noorspoort is the place where the Ferreira – Marais family were living when the children were baptised.

Thomas Ignatius Ferreira (*01.12.1848 Steytlerville; †09.04.1929 Vreenigung, Brighton Reitz) and his wife Martha Jacoba Marais (*22.06.1854 Groot Winterhoek, Distr. Uitenhage; † 11. 11. 1939 Vereeniging Distr. Reitz) were witnesses to a couple of Hayward children.

When I google Noorspoort I come across a farm called Noorspoort near Steytlerville, owned by the Hayward family.

On the Web page http://www.noorspoort.co.za/index.html they write:
“Noorspoort has been home to four generations Hayward’s and now two generations Craven’s, which is currently farmed by Dr. George Hayward Craven, son of the late Dr. Danie Craven (Rugby Legend) and Beyera Craven (née Hayward).”
